I can't believe it!

The  August awards for 

sm_monthly were posted today, and somehow I managed to win eight categories. O.o Talk about a shocker! And I think all eight stories I wrote for the month were nominated at least once. Heh, I guess I really am pretty good when it comes to writing about family relationships

 

Anyway, the awards:

Best General: Queen of Hollywood
Best Romance: Ruining the Mood
Best Comedy: Ruining the Mood
Best Adult: Ruining the Mood
Best Characterization: Father/Daughter Bonding
Best Dialogue: Stuck Zippers and Cold Feet
Most Original: Taken by Surprise
Best Overall: Queen of Hollywood

I'm highly amused that Ruining the Mood won Best Adult, since I don't really consider it an adult story. *laughs* I mean, sure, it's about Usagi's and Mamoru's night being ruined when they overhear her parents doing the deed next door, but it's much more suggestive than it is actually explicit. In fact, I'm not even sure it really earning the R rating I gave it just to be on the safe side. Oh, well. I'll take it. ^_^ I'm not complaining.

Eight. Wow.
