The episodes in this arc just keep getting better and better! I loved this episode! It might have been nice if it focused a little more on Makoto, but I felt this episode was really balanced between the characters, which was nice.
- The whole arcade scene was a lot of fun. I really liked the part when Motoki gave the Usas matching Sailor V dolls and they had matching reactions..
- Oo, here's a small change from the manga I really like! Originally, Chibi-Usa just overhears Ikuko talking to Kenji on the phone about dinner, but here, Ikuko and Kenji are actually cooking together and being really sweet with each other, reminding Chibi-Usa of her own parents.
- That screen in the floor of the Black Moon's HQ is cool!
- Oops, Asanuma overheard Luna talking!
- I'm squealing over how cute Asanuma and Makoto are! So, so, so, so cute!
- Asanuma sees a picture of Makoto's parents and she tells him they died in a plane crash. Again, nice that they included that bit of backstory for her (although I think she told Usagi her parents were dead in her debut episode?), but I'm still annoyed that Rei's family situation hasn't been addressed yet. (Which reminds me, has Rei's grandpa even shown up in Crystal? Because he certainly should be worried about Rei's disappearance. Ami's mother, who she lives with, is a busy doctor who is rarely home, so it's possible that she might not even know Ami is missing, but Rei's grandfather should. Well, the manga doesn't address that either, but that would be a nice addition...)
- Love the surprised face Makoto makes when Asanuma confesses that he overheard Luna talking.
- Makoto doesn't mention the friend she left behind when she moved, but that an understandable cut, considering the friend is not important at all and doesn't even get a name. The explanation of Mamoru's powers is also cut, presumably since they left out the memory of Asanuma seeing Mamoru heal himself in the last episode, which is kinda disappointing, but not that important in the grand scheme of things.
- I love how Asanuma is so impressed by Makoto's desire to rescue and protect her friends and wishes he was strong enough to protect her. And the forehead kiss! *squeal*
- Would a TV go fuzzy like that nowadays?
- Makoto fighting the droid that looked like her was awesome, and it reminded me of the Droid senshi from the newest musical.
- Also really loved Jupiter's fight with Petz! Sparkling Wide Pressure was great.
