Gah!

So, last weekend I started playing FFVI, which is awesome, and I was doing really well until today. Unfortunately, while I was trying to find my way back to the Serpent Trench so that Mog could learn a new dance (a suggestion from the walkthrough I'm using), I managed to get my airship stuck on the Veldt with no way to get back to it. *sigh* This is so annoying! I spent the entire morning trying to figure out how to get back there, but it looks completely hopeless. To make matters worse, I need it to get to the Floating Continent. Stupid map! If only everything was clearly marked, I wouldn't have gotten into the mess.

On the bright side, I did have an extra game saved right before the Opera House scene, so it's not like I have to start the game completely over, which is good, but still... All that training I'll have to redo!

*cries*

Heh...I remember that giving me headaches when I first got that dance. The trick to getting back to the Veldt is to walk northeast from Nikeah, along the coast--you'll eventually reach the point where Sabin washed up. Just retrace Sabin's journey, and jump down the waterfall again (you won't have to fight a boss this time).

Yeah, I figured that out when I started over at the opera. Unfortunately, I really was stuck in my first game because I stupidly took the boat to South Figaro and the mean sailors wouldn't take me back. :(

I did learn my lesson, though. Instead of waiting so long to go back for the dance, as soon as I got Mog, I decided I would find the proper way to get to the Veldt and Serpent Trench so that if I did get stuck again, it wouldn't be so bad to start over. Luckily, I figured out how to do it, so all is well. ^_^

Thanks for trying to help!

Ah, FFVI. I loved that game. I still do, which is why I finally got the GBA version along with FFV. Heh, now I got all the GBA/DS versions from FFI to FFVI. And since they're porting FFI and FFII to the PSP, they might as well do all of them.

And I'm still waiting for them to make a off-line console version of FFXI. It just doesn't feel right having that gap in the numbering system. I was all for calling it Final Fantasy Online, but noooooo. They had to go and call it FFXI. Stupid bums.

(See all the love for FFVI from your FL?)

Lunaludus already answered the question, but it still sucks to have that happen to you. :-( At least you're not going to be surprised by the Floating Continent (which has hard monsters on it).
