Some stuff

Mom and I went to the movies yesterday. We saw The Duchess, which was really good. And since we were at the mall, of course I had to do a little shopping. My original plans were to buy either Cherry Juice or Pearl Pink, both short, four volume manga series that sounded kinda cute, but we went to the music store first, where I found an import of Celine Dion's D'Elles album. I've never been able to find a copy in store, so of course I had to get it. ^_^ Since I only wanted to spend about $40 though, that meant I decided on a one-shot seinen manga called Solanin, which I had heard good things about. Glad to say that it was well worth the money. I was a bit worried at first, since the artwork didn't really grab me when I first flipped through it, but I'm a fan of slice-of-life stuff, so the story was right up my alley. I definitely recommend it, especially if you prefer older-skewing titles. (The main characters are (mostly) recent college grads, trying to decide what to do with their lives.)

Anyway... That's about it. Been pretty boring lately.

It just came out. Actually, the official release date is supposed to be today; my B&N just got it in early, I guess. ^_^ So, you'll probably see it around soon.
