What are you favorite OPs and EDs and why? Don't go past top 5, and say a few words why.
Favorite Openings
#1 "Kaze no Hana" from Someday's Dreamers - Hands down, my favorite anime song of all time. The song is beyond beautiful, very haunting and appropriate for the show. The animation fits with it well, too. I always rather liked the part with the cat with the fireworks in the background for some reason. It's just...pretty. (Incidently, the pic in my avie is from this opening. *drools over Oyamada-sensei*)
#2 "Tattoo Kiss" from Kaleido Star - This song almost gives "Kaze no Hana" a run for its money when it comes to my favorites. (Doesn't hurt that Kaleido Star is my favorite series.) Totally different style, though. Much more...danceable, I guess you could say.
#3 "Coppelia's Casket" from Noir - Now this opening is just plain cool. The song is awesome (like the rest of the music in the series), and the animation is very stylish with the use of bold, vibrant colors. If I was just going by opening animation alone, this one would probably be my favorite.
#4 "Lonely in Gorgeous" from Paradise Kiss - Love this song. Great choice to use it for the opening to this series. I think the lyrics really suit Yukari's journey. Also, I'm not really into cars or machines or anything like that, but the close-ups of George's car? Awesome.

#5 "Hemisphere" from Rah-Xephon - I adore this song so much. You know how sometimes as an extra on DVDs they'll include drawings of character/scenery/mecha/objects/etc. set to music? I normally don't bother with them, but whenever I put in a Rah-Xephon DVD, I always watch them -- not for the drawings, but for the extended version of "Hemisphere". The opening animation itself is wonderful, too. Great timing to the music, and on a slightly lecherous note, I must admit I like the shots of Ayato in the buff. Yum.
And I know it said to not go past five, but I had a list of my top ten favorites already made up, so here's the rest of the list:
#6 "Sailor Star Song" from Sailor Moon Sailor Stars
#7 White Destiny" from Pretear
#8 "Platinum" from Card Captor Sakura
#9 "Melissa" from Fullmetal Alchemist
#10 "Born" from Le Chevalier D'eon
Favorite Endings
#1 "Energy" from Ginban Kaleidoscope - I've always rather liked kaleidoscopes, so this ending animation featuring kaleidoscope designs is right up my alley. The song is gorgeous, too.
#2 "Starless Night" from NANA - The ending animation is kind of...eh. The camera basically just pans over one large (but nice) image of the two Nanas (although I do like how the image is mostly monochrome blue except for Nana O.'s ren tattoo, which is a vibrant red), but the song... Oh, the song! So, so beautiful, especially when the singer hits that high note near the end. It always gives me chills.
#3 "Hare Hare Yukai" from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya - Yeah, I know, everybody and their mother loves this ending, but the dancing! So fun! Gotta love how Kyon is so not into it. The song is really catchy, too. (I have to say it took me FOREVER to find a proper clip of this ending -- there were lots of special versions, parodies, homages, instructions on how to do the dance, etc. to wade through -- so I hope you appreciate it!)
#4 "Watashi-tachi Naritakute" from Sailor Moon SuperS - Of course I love this song -- it's pretty much Chibi-Usa's and Helios' love theme. ^_^ This is by far my favorite Sailor Moon ending theme, and I rather like the way the ending animation was designed, with shots of Chibi-Usa shown in a panel at the bottom of the screen.
#5 "Aitai" from Diamond Daydreams - Evidently, I'm quite fond of endings that employ panels, because here's another one, except the panels are to the left instead of the bottom and focus on each of the six heroines. Gorgeous song, too.
And again, the rest of the list:
#8 "Sayonara Solitaire" from Chrono Crusade
#9 "Sore Ga, Ai Desho" from Full Metal Panic Fumoffu
#10 "Alumina" from Death Note
Favorite Openings
