Okay, this is just...weird.
After years of ignoring my poor neglected websites, I decided to start working on them again, only to discover that somebody has ripped off my SuperS site.
The real Yume No Kagami
The fake Yume No Kagami
The strange thing is that technically both addresses are supposed to be mine. The Freewebs.com address was the orignal, but then the company changed their name to Webs.com and we were allowed our choice of which address to use. I guess the imposter hacked into my account somehow, although I don't see any real signs of that other than the site itself. (For example, I don't see any of their pages when I sign in to edit, so I can't delete them.) Oh, I figured it out. Their address isn't one that I own, after all. The lack of "_" is a subtle difference. http://yume_no_kagami.webs.com/ is mine; http://yumenokagami.webs.com/ is their's, so they made a new account. I also noticed that they linked to the real site, calling it Version 1. I guess that's...nice of them?
I'm not mad, exactly. The imposter was passing themselves as "Yumeko", so it's not like they were passing my work off as their own. They were just pretending to be me for some reason, and other than redesigning the site and accepting some (not really deserved, IMO) web design awards, they didn't do much else. (And they haven't updated since 2009, anyway.) It's just...weird. I don't get why they would do it.
