For a change of pace - Card Captor Sakura news!

http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/press-release/2014-05-01/cardcaptor-sakura-complete-series-out-august-5th

NIS America is rereleasing Card Captor Sakura in a premium Blu-Ray collection and in three standard DVD collections! I'm on the fence on whether or not I want to double-dip on CCS. On one hand, I would love to have the entire series on DVD -- my current collection is a mix of DVDs and videos -- but on the other, $180 (total for all three of the DVD sets) is a lot to pay for a series I already own. Maybe if I had a Blu-Ray player, I would splurge on the $250 premium Blu-Ray set since it also comes with a spiffy looking hardcover artbook, but I don't know... Maybe I can ask for it for Christmas? In any case, this is awesome news for newer anime fans who have never had the chance to experience CCS! (Now, somebody just needs to rerelease the original Sailor Moon anime. I wouldn't hesitate to double-dip on that!)

Considering that they're gonna release the new Sailor Moon anime in a month, I think it'll be years before anyone re-releases the old one. :O

A girl can dream, though... (And, eek, I can't wait for July to finally get here!)

Ooh, I never did replace my bootlegs of CCS season three--I never could find the box set that supposedly came out a few years ago. I've been trying to introduce this series to my niece, too, and got her the manga for Christmas, but she seemed sort of... unimpressed. Maybe the anime would grab her attention.
