My first taste of alcohol

Okay, so for the past month of so, we've had this bottle of Sangria in our refrigerator. I have no idea who bought it or what it's for, but I figured it was either A) a birthday or Christmas present for my little sister, who just turned twenty-one a couple of weeks ago or B) for a special occasion, like New Year's or something like that. Well, today when I went to get a glass of orange juice, I noticed somebody had gotten into the wine. Since I've never had alcohol before and I've always wanted to try wine, I figured, "Hey, it's about time I finally I finally take advantage of being legal and stop being such a goody-two-shoes," so I poured myself a tiny glass and drank it.

What did I think?

Yucky. I don't know if it was just cheap or what, but it was absolutely disgusting.

Yeah, I don't see me drinking again any time soon.

Hee! Was that your first? I hated my first drink, too. Tasted like cough syrup. I've never had a second one.

Yep, my first one, and probably my last.

I wished it had taste like cough syrup. I don't mind cough syrup, but this one...ugh. I can't even describe it, only to say that it's how I always though a bottle of rubbing alcohol would taste, with just a touch of grape.

Granted I'm still underage, but I've found the only alcohol I can stand is champagne at weddings. I've also tried chardonnay, beer, and this Godiva chocolate concoction. Hated them.

Sangria is supposed to be good. Popular with the older women. ;) Never had it myself. When we were in college, we would make what was called "WOP" Basically you put whatever alcohol and fruit you had in a large clean container and add fruit juice or something. Never made it...but drank plenty of it. ^^;
