Got this one from December

If you happen to be working on some creative writing project, fanfiction or NaNoWriMo or what have you, post exactly one sentence (or more) from each of your current work(s) in progress in your journal. It should probably be your favorite or most intriguing sentence so far, but what you choose is entirely your discretion. Mention the title (and genre) if you like, but don't mention anything else -- this is merely to whet the general appetite for your forthcoming work(s).

Against the Rules

“Don’t you dare die on me now, not when we can finally be together without shame. Today was only supposed to be the beginning, not the end!”

Only Human

“Yes, that’s part of it, but…” Helios looked over at her, frowning. “How do you know about sex anyway? Aren’t you a little young to know the facts of life?”

Serenity rolled her eyes. “I’m thirteen years old. Mama gave me that speech a couple of years ago.”

Fire and Ice (otherwise known as the Kaleido Star fic that desperately needs a better title)

Ten minutes later, Clarissa returned with Elizaveta and a very sleepy-headed Pilar in tow. Pilar hadn’t even bothered to change out of her nightclothes, dressed in a pair of red satin pajama pants and a black tank top that said “Muy Caliente” in letters that looked as if they were on fire. Her eyes were still half-closed as she followed the other girls into Yume’s bedroom, and she nearly crashed into the doorway, saved only by Elizaveta’s quick thinking.

 “Gracias, Liza,” she mumbled after the Polish girl pulled her out of harm’s way and guided her safely through the doorway.


The other two stories I'm working on, I can't post any lines for because I wrote them both for the .moon Summer Challenge, and I have yet to decide which one I will ultimately submit, if either of them. Who knows? I may end up going with another idea I have. Seriously, I have way to many ideas for this challenge, it's not even funny! *tears out hair* And I can't get any second opinions because it's against the rules.

Oh, well, at least no matter what, I'll have a couple of nice stories to add to my body of works.
