I love torturing my favorite characters way too much

So, To Be By Your Side..If you didn't read the comment a couple of posts back in which I explain what the fic is about, it's this new Helios/Chibi-Usa fic I've recently begun writing, taking the first few scenes of an old draft of Only Human and adapting them to fit a new, but kinda-vaguely-similar storyline. When I came up with the idea, in fact, I thought of it as a happier, less angsty version of OH, and planned it to be a rather short, kinda WAFF-y romance, with just a little bit of angst to keep things interesting.

Well, it grew. Why? Because I keep coming up with new ideas on how to torture poor Helios and Serenity.

And I love it!

I'm even more in love with the story than I was before. This seriously might be one of the best things I've ever written, and I'm actually excited about writing again! It feels so long since I really and truly felt that.
