It's like a miracle
Jul. 4th, 2009 11:02 pmIt's eleven o'clock on the Fourth and July...and my neighbors aren't partying. Hallelujah!
I guess they got the partying out of their system last night. That, or somebody else already called the cops on them earlier. (We spent the day at the races -- I won thirteen bucks on a long-shot horse! -- and just got back like ten minutes ago, so I don't know if they were partying earlier.) In any case, I'm grateful, because I am exhausted after they kept me up way too late last night. If I had to go through two nights in a row... I probably would have snapped.
(They better not wake me up in the middle of the night, that's all I've got to say.)
Anyway, happy 4th of July to all the Americans reading this!
