It's the story that does not end....

Why does this fic (To Be By Your Side) keep getting longer and longer? Honestly! I think it might just end up a multi-part after all if this keeps up. Current word count is roughly around 24,000, and I would not be at all surprised if it hits 50,000 when all is said and done. What happened to my nice, short one-shot?

Oh, well, I think the story needs this "break" I just came up with. From a certain point onwards, Chibi-Usa cries (or is at least close to crying) in almost every scene she's in. (And she's in most of them, because of...well, a spoiler.) I'm not even kidding. She's actually starting to get on my nerves a bit because of it, but she does have a very good reason to be so depressed. (Oh, I wish I wasn't feeling so protective of this story, because while I'm dying to divulge some spoilers, I also want to keep it a surprise...) So, hopefully this "break" will be a welcome change of pace from all the angst...at least until the end of it. (Because, apparently, Chibi-Usa can't find peace for more than a weekend without me wanting to ruin things for her. If she wasn't my fourth favorite senshi, I would almost think I hate her. >.> Don't worry, Chibi-Usa, you'll get a happy ending...maybe. Most likely.)

And, gah! Somehow I've fallen back into my old habit of writing scenes out of order! -_-; I wasn't going to do that with this fic! *pulls out hair*
