First, a list requested by an anonymous poster for the Top 5 meme.
1. Uchizawa Minoru (Spirit of Fire) - He's my favorite kind of male character: the funny, flirty, sexy "bad" (in the loosest sense of the term) boy who is actually a really nice guy at heart.
2. Kitagawa Akira (Against the Rules) - His character was sort of a combination of Charlie Eppes (played by David Krumholtz *drools*) from Numb3rs and my boyfriend at the time, so of course I loved him. ^_~
3. Yokoyama Yui (Against the Rules) - This may come as a bit of a shock, but I actually see quite a bit of myself in Yui. >.< No, I'm definitely not as extreme or devious as Yui, but I could empathize with how she felt that her intelligence was the only thing that made her special, and how she thought she wasn't attractive enough to be loved. Plus, I loved her snarkiness! That was fun to write.
4. Kitagawa Izumi (Agains the Rules) - She was a fairly minor character, and mostly comic relief, but every scene she was in was just a pure joy to write.
5. Hino Keitaro (Spirit of Fire) - And he's my second favorite kind of male character: the angsty guy who makes a lot of bad decisions for what he thinks is the right reasons.
By the way, if anybody else wants to give me a topic of a Top 5 list, feel free to still comment. I love making these kinds of lists. ^_^
Now, onto the real topic of this entry. I was lurking at the AnimeonDVD forums when I came across an exciting announcement: Not only has yet another Someday's Dreamers manga series (subtitled Natsu no Sora) just begun publication in Shonen Ace, it's going to be turned into an anime and a live-action movie! Wahoo! *crosses fingers that all three will one day be licensed here*
This news does make me wonder why they never animated Spellbound, though. :( It would have made a nice 26 episode romantic drama, IMO. Oh, well, maybe if the new series does well, they'll go back and turn Spellbound into an anime.
