1. Comment to this post with the name of a character that I have written in fic. You should probably make sure it's one I've written more than once or twice.
2. I will comment telling you the following:
A. What initially prompted me to like the character enough to write about him/her.
B. One of his/her best traits.
C. One of his/her worst traits.
D. How easy/difficult I find it to write the character.
E. The story/chapter/paragraph/phrase where I feel that I truly captured the character (if I've written them).
F. My plans (if any) to write the character in the near future.

on 2009-07-29 01:21 am (UTC)B. I'm going to name two: kindness and loyalty.
C. He doesn't have any. :P ... Okay, I guess if I have to pick something, he could stand to be a little more confident in himself. He doesn't seem to think much of himself.
D. Hmm, it's kind of hard to say. He's kind of a mysterious character, and there isn't much known about him, so in that way, he's quite easy to write about. But that also means that he has a tendency to change in almost every story I write about him, and sometimes I do think I write him a bit OOC. (He tends to be the problem whenever I try to write Only Human. His role in that story is actually seems quite out-of-character for him at first glance, but I do think it could be in-character for him to act like that under the right circumstances. The challenge is making it believable.) I guess I would say he's in the middle on the difficulty scale.
E. Beautiful Dreamer. I think I wrote him really well in that story.
F. There's the aforementioned Only Human, which I'll hopefully get back to working on someday, but right now, my focus is on To Be By Your Side. I also have another idea called The Sandman, but it's rather vague and I'm not sure if I'll ever write it (especially since it's an action story, and I don't like writing action.

on 2009-07-29 03:49 am (UTC)B. Can I say kindness and loyalty again? *laughs* I guess I just have a thing for those types of characters.
C. She doesn't get enough screentime! *laughs* No, seriously, lessee... Man, I can't think of anything in canon! I mean, lots of fanfic writers like to portray her as this huge manipulator who will do anything to keep the timeline intact, but there's not even a hint of that in canon from what I can tell. So, um... Oh, she's a bit of a loner, even when she doesn't have to be. I guess that kind of counts as a flaw...
D. Kind of the same thing I said earlier with Helios. We don't really know all that much about Setsuna, so there's a lot of room for interpretation in her character. I find her more easy to write than him, though. Maybe because I'm a loner myself, so I can empathize with her.
E. Taboo, definitely. (Funny how I've chosen two first person short stories so far for this question...)
F. Don't really have any plans at the moment to write another Setsuna story. There's Baby Blues, yet another Setsuna/Mamoru fic, but I keep envisioning it as hentai, and I don't write hentai... So, yeah.
