Incredible. Simply incredible.

The result wasn't what I was hoping for, but it was still a wonderful night of skating during the free dance. Virtue/Moir were absolutely stunning and definitely deserved the gold, and I'm so happy that Davis/White won the silver! (Would have preferred they won the gold, but silver is still a great accomplishment. There's always the 2014 games for gold, after all!) My one real disappointment was that the Russians won bronze over Belbin/Agosto. :( Domnina/Shabalin skated well -- better than when I saw them compete at Europeans -- but I think Tanith's and Ben's free dance was a little better. (Granted, I'm terribly biased. I really wanted a North American sweep of the medals, and I love Tanith and Ben.) Oh, well. They already won silver at the last Olympics, so bronze would have been just icing on the cake. The last American team of Samuelson/Bates stayed in eleventh, but they still put in a great showing with a season's best score in the free dance. It'll be fun to see them grow as a team. I think they've got a lot of potential.

Ladies' short program is tomorrow night, meaning that the skating competition is almost over. *sigh* I'm not sure what I'll do with myself once it is, I've been so wrapped up in it. Is there life outside of skating? I don't remember it...

*laughs*

No, actually, I'm not that far gone. In fact, just watched the news and they're predicting SNOW tomorrow. Not a lot, mind you, but still! If it does, that'll be twice in one season; that never happens!

So crossing my fingers for that, and for Mirai Nagasu and Racheal Flatt to do well in their short programs tomorrow night. Go USA!
