30 Day Character Meme - Day 1 (Kaleido Star)

Thanks to royalbk , I've finally found a 30 day meme that I think I can finish. Since I've already done a Sailor Moon version at sailormoonland - I'll list those answers at the end of this post - I've decided to focus on my favorite anime of all time...Kaleido Star!

1. Your favorite character



Sora Naegino

I imagine that next to the definition of "awesome" in the dictionary, there's this picture of Sora. She's not only my favorite Kaleido Star character, she's one of my all-time favorite anime characters, period. She's just...awesome!

She's determined and driven, but still so kind and compassionate. While others may resort to backstabbing and sabotage in order to get ahead, Sora doesn't really care about being "the best" Not that she isn't competitive, because she definitely is, but titles and awards aren't her ultimate goal. All she wants is to be the best she can be and make the audience happy with her performances. As long as she achieves that, she feels like a star.

I love the passion she has for chosen dream and all the hard work she puts into achieving it. Though Sora's not a technician on the level of say, Layla or May, there's just something about her performances that draws people in. She shows her heart on the stage and inspires her fellow performers as well. She's a wonderful friend, a great role model, and just an all-around amazing character.
