Viz Licenses Original Sailor Moon Franchise (ALL OF IT! UNCUT! WITH A NEW DUB!)
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!
Best. News. Ever.
Granted, Viz has a bit of a reputation of cutting their losses when a series doesn't perform as well as expected (Monster and Full Moon wo Sagashite are notable examples), which worries me a little, but I'm pretty sure there's going to be a HUGE demand for both series, so I'm not too concerned. BTW, there's a trailer in the article for the original anime for those interested in what the new dub Usagi/Sailor Moon will sound like. It's at the very end, and she just says her transformation phrase, so it's tough to judge if she'll do a good job in the role -- I'm a bit underwhelmed at the moment, actually, but again, it's only one phrase -- but apparently Naoko Takeuchi approved all the dub casting decisions, so hopefully it'll at least be better than the old dub!
