I got iTunes working this morning, actually. (Thank goodness!) That was the article I was working with yesterday, and I even tried an uninstall/reinstall, but it didn't work the first time. I'm not sure, but I think the problem was an old version of QuickTime that wouldn't uninstall completely. I managed to get rid of all traces of it this morning, did another reinstall of iTunes, and that seemed to do the trick.
But now I have a different problem: the iPod won't connect to the iTunes store. I'm thinking it just doesn't work with dial-up. *sigh* I wish my parents had asked me to come with them to pick which one I wanted. It might have ruined the surprise, but at least I would have known the important questions to ask. They're hopeless when it comes to technology.
And thanks for the game recommmendations! I always wanted to try a Zelda game, so I think I'm leaning that way at the moment.
