PLUTO! She's finally here! *squee* The rest of the episode was okay -- it was good, though I felt it was the weakest episode of the second arc so far -- but Pluto! She's perfect!
- I think they kinda overdid the framed reaction shots. It's nice that they had a little fun with the direction, but it felt weird to just start suddenly doing it this late in the series, especially in an episode that was mostly serious. I think I would have enjoyed them more during a more light-hearted episode (although has there any episode that was mostly lighthearted? Maybe the one where the girls visit Ami's apartment? Or the masquerade?)
- If there was any doubt that Mamoru and Usagi had sex in the manga during this arc, it was pretty much confirmed in Crystal. It was a bit disappointing, though. It's not like I was expecting a scene out of a hentai, but I would have like to have seen something more...passionate, I guess? Dynamic? It just felt a little stiff and awkward to me.
- PLUTO! Have I mentioned how happy I am that Sailor Pluto has finally appeared? And she was awesome! She looked gorgeous -- it seems they got rid of the bright pink we saw in the preview of this arc, changing it back to the dark red we're accustomed to -- and her new voice actress is terrific. I especially loved how menacing she made Pluto sound when Moon, Venus, and Tuxedo Kamen showed up, but softened up when she hugged Chibi-Usa. Man, I just love their friendship!
- My one disappointment? Dead Scream is a bit of a let down. She basically just attacked them with her Time Staff.
- Creepy corpses!
- Esmeraude was also pretty cool herself. I loved how she taunted Chibi-Usa: "Mama, Mama"!
- Good teamwork between Venus and Tuxedo Kamen to defeat Achiral and Achiral.
- King Endymion now wears a white tuxedo instead of a lavender one like in the the manga. I approve!
Looking forward to seeing more of Pluto!
