Sailor Moon Crystal Episode 38

heavenly_pearlLast episode of the season, and it was fantastic!
The one complaint I had was that pretty much right after the opening credits, they played the opening song AGAIN as an insert song, which really lessened the effect. I think it would have worked better to just skip the opening credits altogether like a lot of anime do during final episodes, but considering that they seemed to be struggling to fill time as it was (first three minutes was basically a repeat of the end of last episode, plus the last third actually went into the first chapter of the Dream Arc (YES!)), I can understand why they kept them. But in that case, there are three versions of the opening theme... They could have at least used a different version. (Or Moon Pride, Moonlight Densetsu, or even a brand new song altogether!) Oh, well, just a minor complaint. Everything else was great. I particularly loved Pluto's big emotional scene where she helped Saturn seal Pharaoh 90 away. (Almost makes up for the fact that she never got a transformation sequence this season.) And of course I was THRILLED to see the Dream Arc scenes, which I thought were especially well done. (I particularly like how they replaced Helios calling for the maiden with the sound of bells instead. Presumably they did that because Helios hasn't been cast yet, but I thought the bells were a really effective and mysterious change.) No official announcement yet, but I think the fact that they ended with that cliffhanger pretty much confirms that we will be getting a fourth season. CAN'T WAIT, CAN'T WAIT, CAN'T WAIT, CAN'T WAIT, CAN'T WAIT x Infinity!
