Why must we be the ones who suffer?

A couple of days ago, Dad's truck started having problems and broke down. It's being fixed, but despite that, he decided he wanted a new truck, which we just got at the cost of trading Mom's car, since we just paid off the old truck by taking out a big loan and we can't afford to be paying two car notes again.

Grr. If the truck is getting fixed, why couldn't Dad just be happy with that instead of wanting a new one? *sigh*

Now Mom is stuck with the old truck, and it is so horrible! Dad didn't take care of it very well, so it's very beaten up and...ugly. I hate it, hate it, hate it!

*fumes*

At least it does have a CD player, though, which the new truck doesn't have.

EDIT: Well, evidently Mom is getting the new truck, which doesn't make much sense to me, considering there was nothing wrong with our old car except that you couldn't roll down the driver's side window because the thing broke, but, oh, well. I guess Dad figures she can drive it until we can afford two car notes again, then he can have the truck and she can get a new car.

On the plus side, I don't have to ride in the old truck. Yay! I will miss having a CD player though.
