You know, I really do think Helios-muse decided to take off early for Thanksgiving. Writing's going HORRIBLY. Want to know how much I wrote today?
Oh, maybe two or three sentences.
Gah!
I've never had a case of writer's block so bad. It's so frustrating! And I've been rereading the stuff I've written so far and it's so terrible! It's almost so bad that I've seriously been considering retiring from SM fanfics altogether. It's not like anybody cares about the fandom anymore... But I'm too stubborn to give up. *sigh*
I just need to find some confidence. That's what I need. If I can find that again, I'm sure everything will be okay.
In other news, since writing's going so badly, I've been working on avies. They're posted in my MJ if anybody's interested.

on 2005-11-17 05:05 am (UTC)I know what you mean about blocks though... I haven't been able to get any inclination to work on HFT lately. The most you can really do is let it sit. Don't try and force it at this point, you'll just make it worse. I'd sugget sitting back and reading some fanfiction to get your juices flowing. Or brainstorm. Think about SM or make up random scenes you don't have any intention of writing just to get in the write mindset. I thought through a bunch of scenes for a Silver Millennium fic, and while I didn't write any of it, I'm excited to work on it as soon as I finish a few other/many other projects.

on 2005-11-17 06:37 am (UTC)I have been letting it sit. I haven't really worked on it since before Rita hit. That's the problem. If I don't work on something for a long while, it's difficult for me to get back into the groove of things.
I might try the brainstorming thing, although knowing me, I'll start wanting to write that story instead of the one I should be working on. *laughs*
