My Death Note manga boxset came in today! Yippee! And I must say that the box is really nice. I went with the boxset because it was the best deal, not because of the packaging, but I'm quite impressed. Best of all, no need to worry about finding a place on my nearly full bookshelves to put the books. I can just put the box on the floor or my desk or something. I can even tote the box around the house if I want instead of having to go back to my room every time I want a new volume. (I usually read in the living room.) They should start putting out more manga boxsets like this. I'd buy them -- a complete series for less than buying the manga individually, plus a really cool box to keep them in? What's not to like? (BTW, I've already read the first three volumes.)

Shounen Jump (i.e. Viz) is very good about the boxed sets. They have 'em for Death Note, Bleach (1-21), and Naruto (1-27), but I've not seen any others.

I know there was recently a listing for a complete Fruits Basket boxset at Right Stuf, but it was taken down fairly soon afterwards. Now it looks like they're going for smaller boxsets, four volumes per set. But, man, those Bleach and Naruto boxes must be freakin' huge! O.o
