I got summoned for jury duty.

Problem? I don't drive, so I have no way to get there.

Oh, boy, this is going to be fun.

I'm supposed to be at the county courthouse on the twelfth (incidently, Laura's birthday) at 9 a.m. If that's the week Mom goes to work late, then I don't think that will be much of a problem, but how am I supposed to get home when I'm finished? *sigh*

Well, I guess we'll figure something out. Or pray that it'll be cancelled and I won't have to come in after all.

On the plus side, I always did want to be summoned for jury duty. ^_^ (Yeah, I'm weird. Sue me.)

If it makes you feel any better, they'll probably dismiss you if you tell them you can't drive. I'd like to be summoned for duty myself but as you know, I have the same problem.

Of you could go up and smooch the defendant and pretend like you know him/her before it even starts. That'd get you in and out in no time.
