30 Days On Fanfic - Days 19 and 20
Jul. 18th, 2011 12:13 pmI forgot to do this yesterday, so there are two questions today!
Day 19 – When you have bunnies, do you sit down and start writing right away, or do you write down the idea for further use?
I'd have to say more the second, if we're just talking about general plot bunnies. My plot bunnies tend to be so vague, I need to let the idea stew around for a little while and develope before I actually have something to write. It's also a great way to keep the number of WIPs down. I mean, it's easy to be excited about an idea when you first come up with it, but I find that if I'm still excited about an idea a couple of weeks later, then it's probably worth writing.
Day 20 –Do you ever get bunnied from other people's stories or art in the same fandom?
Wish I had looked ahead, because I already answered this on Day 18. -_- The answer is "yes", of course.
But I didn't mention the time I was inspired by a piece of fanart. That was my Fire Emblen story The Strange Girl, which I wrote for
samuraiter . He sent me a lovely piece of Artur/Lute fanart he had found, and I decided to use that image as inspiration for a scene in the story.
