heavenly_pearlI just watched my first Sailor Moon musical, La Reconquista! It was pretty awesome, I must say. I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but it came together quite well. I particularly liked the second half of the show, with the flashback of what happened in the past -- the senshi fought with swords! -- and the final battles with Beryl and Metallia. The idea of the shitennou posing as a boy band was also pretty amusing. I'm not sure if I'm going to watch all the other musicals, but I'm definitely going to check out the SuperS musical Yume Senshi - Ai - Eien ni... (because, duh, it's SuperS!) and Shin Densetsu Kourin, which apparently has Pluto canonically in love with Endymion. (*waves shipper flag*) Hope they're as good as La Reconquista!
