In other news, it looks like Michelle Kwan withdrew from the Olympics due to another groin injury, meaning Emily Hughes will take her place. It's kinda sad, but honestly, I don't think she would have had much of a chance of winning the gold even if she was in top condition. With the new Code of Points system, she's really at a disadvantage when it comes to the technical side of things, especially with some skaters doing triple-triple-double combinations and a couple (like Kimmie Meissner) who actually have a triple axel in their arsenal, even if they're not very consistant. I think Michelle had a triple toe-triple toe at one point, but it was never her strong suit. And with Sasha Cohen just as strong artistically, it really would have been a long shot for her to win gold.

It is indeed brown, and Joshie isn't my favorite. I actually tend to favor hard rock actually, but I have pretty broad taste. ^^;

I'm sad about Michelle, even though I wasn't planning on watching this year. The poor thing has been trying so hard for the past century or so. I really hope she turns pro after this. A silver is hardly a failure.

Also, Starsea tells me you're a fan of Ayashi no Ceres? I know the basic story line and I've always been interested in seeing it, and I got some money for my birthday. I was thinking of buying it, but I wanted to get your thoughts first.

I am a huge Ayashi no Ceres fan (*drools over Tooya*), but of the manga. I haven't seen the anime yet, so I wouldn't be able to tell you if it's a good buy or not. From what I hear from other fans, though, the manga seems to be much better than the anime (not to mention it has the gorgeous Watase Yuu artwork), and I highly recommend it. The only drawback is that it is a very long series -- 14 volumes -- but you would be coming in at a very good time since the last volume is coming out this month. If you have about $150 plus tax, I think it's a great investment.
