Amazing...

Guess what, folks.

Today (oops, actually yesterday), I finished two pages of fanfic, getting out of the one-page-a-day rut I've pretty much been in since Rita, maybe starting even before that. (It's been really hard getting back into the swing of things after a week and a half fanfic break.)

Not only that, it's actually not half bad. Not half good either, but at least it's decent. The scene I'm working on right now is going in a different direction than I originally planned it, but I think I rather like the change.

And to top it all off, I managed to write while Mom was home. Normally, I can't get any real work done while one of my parents is home, so this is an accomplishment.

Could I finally be getting out of this major writing funk I've been in for what seems like forever?

I sure hope so...

Funk? Funk? You write more regularly than I do, Yume. :-P If that is supposed to be a funk, you must be a paper-spewing demon at top speed.

Nah. At top speed, I rarely write more than two pages a day. Sometimes I can hit three if I'm really on a roll, but rarely more than that.

The only reason I've even been able to write one page a day is because I force myself to write, even when I don't want to. I may be producing stuff, but it's still a funk because either I'm not really enjoying it or what I do write is crap.

And, unfortunately, even though I already have a page done from this morning, it's not very good, so it appears that I'm in the funk again. :(
