Oops, it's been a while since I posted anything here! Well, here's my wrap-up of the winter anime season:

My Roommate is a Cat - SOOOOOOOOO CUTE! Honestly, this was the show I looked forward to watching the most every week. It's just so...well, CUTE! I want a kitty! And I definitely identified a lot with Subaru, the main (human) character. He's basically the male version of me (except I've always loved cats).

The Promised Neverland - This show was so good that it was almost tough to watch at times? If that makes sense? Like, it did a really great job at keeping the tension up, making you worried that their plans wouldn't work. Some stuff was a little eye-roll worthy, but still a great show, and I'm really looking forward to the second season next year.

Kaguya-sama: Love is War - This was a rare comedy that actually got funnier as the season progressed. You would think that a show about two people competing not to confess their feelings for each other first would become frustrating pretty quick, but, nope. And Chika is chaotic love.

Domestic Girlfriend - This was the show I most wanted to see this season. It started of really well, but became kind of dull in the second half. Honestly, with such a guilty pleasure premise (boy in a love triange with both his stepsisters, one of whom is also his teacher), the show should have leaned in a more soap opera-y direction. I'm still interested in checking out the manga, though. From what I've heard, they cut out a lot of stuff to fit into a twelve episode cour.

The Quintessential Quintuplets - It seems like it's been a while since I watched a traditional harem show, and this was actually a pretty good one. I liked the hook that while we know that Futaro will marry one of the sisters right from the beginning, since they're identical quintuplets, you can imagine the bride as whoever you like best. (Miku is the best, btw.)

Ace Attorney - Ah, finally more Mitsurugi! He didn't stay around the whole cour, unfortunately, but it was fun watching him play the defense attorney instead of the prosecutor. I also liked that the three cases covered by this final cour were all connected to Mayoi's family.

B-Project - Zeccho Emotion - Why was it necessary to add another band to the group? I could barely keep track of the first three! Not that it really matters, really. This season was okay, I guess, but nothing special. (After watching Idolish7, I'm apparently spoiled for boy band idol shows.)

Rinshi!! Ekodachan - The idea behind this series of shorts -- that each episode is produced by a different group of people -- was more interesting than the show itself, honestly, but it was pretty neat to see all the different interpretations and animation styles. I didn't bother watching the accompanying interviews.
Oh, and I was watching Sword Art Online: Alicization, but then Toonami started showing the dub, so now I'm just waiting for them to catch up with where I left off to continue.
Next season? I'm watching Fruits Basket. That is all.
Haha, no, that's not true. I'm sure there are some other good shows coming out... Well, maybe not on Crunchyroll. (So annoyed that Carole & Tuesday is a Netflix show!) I'll check out the third season of Bungo Stray Dogs and maybe the new show, Midnight Occult Civil Servants, but that's pretty much it other than Attack on Titan Season 3, which I'm sure Toonami will air. Oh, well, guess it's a good season to catch up with old shows. (Already started Haikyu!! and love it!)

But, seriously, FRUITS BASKET!!!!!!!!

Fall was a pretty good season, anime-wise.

Zombie Land Saga - I never expected to love a show about zombies so much, but Zombie Land Saga is downright hilarious with just the right amount of absurdity and heart. Plus, the idea of zombie idols is kinda brilliant. I thought IDOLiSH7 was going to be my favorite idol anime of the year, but this show surpassed it. I'm really hoping it gets a second season. It ended at a good point, but the final scene was definitely a sequel hook.

Double Decker! Doug & Kirill - This show started off really strong, but lost a little steam near the end, although I still really enjoyed it. And I have the say, the character designs were simply gorgeous!

Tsurune - Tsurune started airing a little later than most of the shows this season, so it still has a few episodes to go, but if you were a fan of Free!, then you'll probably also like this show, which is basically an archery-version of Free! Not that that is a bad thing in my book. Archery isn't quite as exciting as swimming, but Masa is really hot...

Skull-face Bookseller Honda-san - It's always been a bit of a dream of mine to work in a bookstore, so it was fun to watch this series and see what it is like. Some of the customers that showed up were hilarious. I also enjoyed picking on all the censored mentions of real-life companies and manga series.

Ace Attorney - Decent season, I guess, but suffers from the same issue as the second half of the first season in that Mitsurugi was barely in it. I just can't really get into these other prosecutors.

Sword Art Online: Alicization (continuing) - Word of warning: Episode 10 is really tough to watch. Even censored... Well, it's disturbing.  But the overall storyline so far is pretty good, and I'm looking forward to where it will go. I think this series is supposed to last for several seasons, which is pretty rare nowadays.

As for next season, I'll be continuing with Alicization, of course, and I'll probaby catch up with the second season of Mob Psycho 100 once I finish watching the first season on Toonami. Looks like there's a new season of B-Project, too. New shows that look promising are Domestic Girlfriend, Promised Neverland, Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai: Tensai-tachi no Renai Zunōsen, and Dōkyonin wa Hiza, Tokidoki, Atama no Ue. Hopefully Crunchyroll will get at least some of them.

And now, for my Top Ten Series of 2018! There weren't any series this year that I would rate a perfect ten, but I think all of these are worth checking out.

* means I didn't watch the show while it was airing but picked up later due to good buzz.

1. Zombie Land Saga
2. Major 2nd
3. A Place Further Than The Universe *
4. Card Captor Sakura: Clear Card
5. Hinamatsuri *
6. My Hero Academia
7. School Babysitters

9. The Ancient Magus' Bride
10. Double Decker: Doug and Kirill

Finally finished with the season! I got a little behind thanks to marathoning Cute High Earth Defense Club LOVE! LOVE! and D.Gray-man Hallow when they unexpectedly became available on Crunchyroll mid-season due to the awesome new partnership between CR and Funimation. (Hope the second season of The Heroic Legend of Arslan will follow soon.) Anyway, here are my thoughts (spoilers under the cuts):

ReLIFE - This was definitely my favorite show of the season! It was really funny, and I loved the chemistry between all the characters (although Kariu could be kinda annoying at times). I'm hoping that we'll get another season of this eventually since it's a bit strange to endin the middle of Arata's "ReLIFE" (and the source web manga is still ongoing), but at least it otherwise stopped in a good place (similar to the Fruits Basket anime).

Sweetness & Lightning/Momokuri - I'm listing these two together because they're both super-duper cute and adorable. Of the two, I did prefer Sweetness & Lightning (my second favorite of the season), but Momokuri was also a lot of fun, even if the female lead was a bit of a stalker.

Orange - I really liked this series, but I have to admit feeling frustrated at points with Naho, who kept saying and doing the wrong things despite her future self telling her what to do. Then again, if she followed her future self's instructions to the letter (heh), there wouldn't be much of a story, so I guess it's fine. Still, a very touching show.

Cute High Earth Defense Club LOVE! LOVE! - You know, I think this season was even more ridiculous than the first one...yet I liked it even more!

91 Days - Pretty good gangster series. I think I would have liked it a little more if I felt more for the characters, but the only one I was attached to was poor Corteo. Still, the plot had some surprising twists.

Planetarium - I'm not really sure what to say about this series. At only five episodes and no real plot, it felt kinda...pointless, yet I still enjoyed watching it.

B-Project - Too many pretty boys to really get to know all of them in only twelve episodes -- I couldn't even remember the names of most of them -- and the ending kinda came out of nowhere, but the music was really catchy and I enjoyed the music industry setting.

Ace Attorney - Like I said about the first season, I found this series entertaining enough as somebody who had never played the games before, but nothing amazing. (And I didn't like this second season quite as much as I liked the first, probably because the prosecutor guy was missing until the final case.)

D-Gray-man HALLOW - Kanda is one of my favorite characters in this series, so it was nice to finally get some backstory on him, but compared to the first series where everything felt a little too drawn out, this arc felt like it had way too much going on.

As for the upcoming season, I can't wait to watch Yuri! On Ice. So, so, so, so, so, so excited! I'm actually really tempted to buy a subscription to Crunchyroll so I don't have to wait a week to watch, but, eh, Christmas is coming up soon, so I need to save my money. The second season of Sound Euphonium is also a must-watch, and based on the preview guide at ANN, I'll probably check out Izetta: The Last Witch, March Comes In Like a Lion, Magic-Kyun! Renaissance, and ClassicaLoid.

It's the end of the spring anime season, and I actually really enjoyed everything I watched. Not a weak show in the bunch! In fact, I'm not even going to bother going into detailed reviews on the shows since they would all boil down to "I liked it!" Instead, I'll just rank them from favorite to least (but still pretty good).
Sailor Moon Crystal Season 3
Flying Witch
My Hero Academia
Haven't You Heard? I'm Sakamoto
Ace Attorney (This seems to be on a lot of people's "worst" list, but as someone who never played the games, I found the story and characters enjoyable enough, in a ridiculous sort of way.)

As for this season... Gah, there's so much I want to check out! I may have to move some of these to the "will watch at a later date" list, but these are the shows I'd like to check out in alphabetical order:
91 Days
Ace Attorney (Continuing)
B-Project
Cheer Boys!! *
Cute High Earth Defense Club LOVE! LOVE! * (Continuing)
D.Gray-man Hallow * (Continuing - Funny story, but earlier this year, pretty much as soon as I finished watched the second half of the original series that was never licensed in fansubs, this sequel was announced. And now that second half has been officially licensed as well!)
Heroic Legend of Arslan: Dust Storm Dance * (Continuing)
Momokuri
Orange
Planetarium *
ReLIFE
Sweetness & Lightning
* - Streamed by Funimation, which means I have to wait and see if they will mirror at Hulu or Youtube since I don't have a subscription with them, so those are the series I'll probably wait on if needed be.
