So, it's been a while since I posted anything in this thing. Just haven't had much to say lately. Still don't, to be honest, but [livejournal.com profile] teh_maskmaid posted a fun little meme, and I can never pass those up.

Pick your top 5 favorite shows and answer the following questions: (I'm sticking to anime for which I'm fannish for, so these aren't my actual Top 5, but the first three are among the top five anyway.)

1. Kaleido Star
2. Death Note
3. Fruits Basket
4. Card Captor Sakura
5. Sailor Moon

01. Who is your favorite character in 2?
A tough one right off the bat... I think it's probably a toss-up between Light and Matsuda. Light is certainly the more interesting, complex character, but Matsuda is just so adorkable that I can't help but love him.

02. Who is your least favorite character in 1?
Rosetta. I don't hate her or anything; I'm just mostly ambivalent toward her. (And honestly a little annoyed about a certain spoiler. It should have been May, not Rosetta!)

03. What's your favorite episode of 4?
Oh, man, I have to choose just one? I guess I'll say Episode 27, Sakura and the Shrine of Memories, since it's about my favorite couple, Touya/Kaho, but really I love any episode in which Touya plays a prominent role.

04. What's your favorite season of 5?
It tends to switch between SuperS and Sailor Stars, but it's SuperS most of the time, for one major reason: HELIOS!

05. What's your favorite ship in 3?
I want to say Hatori/Mayuko, but unfortunately, Mayuko never got the chance to appear in the anime. (Same with Rin with the Hatsuharu/Rin pairing, another favorite.) So, just sticking with the anime, it has to be Kyo/Tohru.

06. Who is your anti-ship in 2?
I can't say I really have one, really, mainly because I don't consider Death Note a very shippy show. It's just not very romantic.

07. How long have you watched 1?
I actually went back through my Kaleido Star tags to find out the answer to this. I started watching in June of 2006, so a little over five years. ... Wow, it doesn't seem like it's been that long.

08. How did you become interested in 3?
I don't remember, honestly. ... No, wait, I do! I got a free sampler DVD from somewhere -- I think Suncoast -- with the first two episodes of Fruits Basket dubbed. I liked what I saw, so I decided to check out the rest of the series.

09. Who is your favorite actor in 4?
Well, generally speaking, I suppose my favorite seiyuu is Megumi Ogata, who voiced Yukito/Yue, but based on who I like most in the actual show, it's a bit of a tie between Aya Hisakawa as Kero and Tomokazu Seki as Touya.

10. Which show do you prefer: 1, 2, or 5?
Kaleido Star, Kaleido Star, Kaleido Star!

11. Which show have you seen more episodes of: 1 or 3?
Kaleido Star, for the simple fact that it has double the amount of episodes as Fruits Basket.

12. If you could be anyone from 4, who would you be?
It's tempting to say Kaho, so I could dump Eriol and lure back Touya from Yukito...but I'm going to go with Tomoyo, who is super-rich and has a beautiful singing voice.

13. How would you kill off your favorite character in 1?
B-But I don't want to kill off Sora! You can't make me! (But a trapeze accident seems like the most logical choice...)

14. Would a 3/4 crossover work?
A Fruits Basket/Card Captor Sakura crossover? No ideas immediately come to mind, but I can't think of any reason why it couldn't work either.

15. Pair two characters in 1 that would make an unlikely, but strangely okay couple:
Jean/Mia. There's quite an age difference between them -- she's only a few years older than his daughter, after all -- but I like the idea of them together for some reason.

16. Overall, which show has a better cast: 3 or 5?
Fruits Basket has more interesting characters than Sailor Moon, so I'll go with 3.

17. Which has better theme music: 2 or 4?
Card Captor Sakura, definitely. I only really like the first OP for Death Note, while I love all the OPs and EDs for CCS.

It's Christmas Eve! Yay, presents tonight! For the first time in years it seems, I'm really excited about opening presents. I think it's because I actually don't know what a lot of them are, like I usually do. That means I probably won't get a lot of the stuff I actually want, but the surprise element is rather nice.

Anyway, like I mentioned in my previous entry, every year, I like to watch all the Christmas-themed anime episodes I own, and every year, I have to go through my anime collection, trying to remember which series have Christmas episodes. Well, this year I was smart and made a list of all the episodes so I don't have to go through the headache.

Sailor Moon S movie
Sailor Moon R Episode 78 - Venus Minako's Nurse Mayhem (Christmas isn't specifically mentioned, but there are decorations in the background of some scenes)
Card Captor Sakura (Winter Wonderland) Episode 35 - Sakura's Wonderful Christmas
Card Captor Sakura (Friends in Need) Episode 61 - Sakura, The Card, and The Presents
Rah-Xephon (Vol. 2) Episode 8 - The Dreaming Stone
Paradise Kiss (Vol. 3) Episode 12 - Future
Super GALS Episode 39 - Christmas Eve * Jingle-Jingle * Emergency Bell of Love
Angelic Layer Episode 26 - Angel Wings! Please Guide Me and Hikaru (at least in the very last scene)
Fushigi Yugi (Vol. 8) Don't know which episode exactly, as I haven't watched it in a long time, but I know there's one when Tamahome is in Tokyo.
Death Note (Vol. 9) Episodes 33 and 34
Ah! My Goddess: Flights of Fancy (Vol. 1) Episodes 2-4 - Ah! The Troubled Queen of Revenge!, Ah! I Offer You This Feeling On Christmas Eve, Ah! I Offer You This Feeling on Christmas Eve!
Ghost Hunt Episode 12-13 - FILE 5: Silent Christmas
School Rumble 2 Episode 19 - Here, There, Everywhere Is Christmas! Bravely Moving Forward For Christmas! Shatter, Christmas!
Wedding Peach DX Episode 3 - Reunion ~ We Even Fight on Christmas ~

It's been a while since I updated, so...a meme.

Sometimes it's okay to pimp yourself out. Post a list of your top five fic-favorites you've written, regardless of fandom or the reason you love them. This isn't about the BEST things you've written, but what you LOVE most. Then tag five other people to do the same.

1. Hawk's Eye View - I honestly don't know why I like this story so much. It's not popular, and it's basically exactly like a SuperS episode, except told from the villain's point of view... Oh, wait. I think I just answered my question. *laughs* Anyway, it's usually the story I like to reread whenever I'm deep in writer's blues. It just makes me...happy.

2. Kiss Me - This was my first attempt at a Fruits Basket fic, but I think I did a really good job with it. I loved writing Mayuko, and I captured her personality fairly well, if I do say so myself, considering that she's a fairly minor character. This one always makes me smile whenever I reread it.

3. Machiavelli's Folly - I have to admit that a large part of my love for this story is actually the title. *laughs* But I also really like the idea behind the story, and how it really makes you think. It's definitely my most philosphical work.

4. Vision - This is a really sweet Card Captor Sakura story about Touya discovering his ability to see ghosts, and if I remember correctly, this was my first fanfic for a fandom for something other than Sailor Moon. Writing Touya and Sakura as little kids was a lot of fun, and I think it's among my most touching fanfics.

5. Against the Rules - It was a tough deciding between ATR and Spirit of Fire for this last spot, but ATR won out because I think it's overall better written than SOF and has a bit more interesting plot. Plus, romance has never really been my strong suit when it comes to writing, but I was quite pleased how this turned out. Ami and Akira made a great couple. ^_^

Honorable mentions would be Spirit of Fire and Taboo

Not tagging, but if you want to snag this, then feel free!

*glomps everyone in sight*

Ah, it feels good to finally be back on-line again after all this time. You guys have no idea.

Anyway, Ike.

Everything's fine here. Thanks to everybody who expressed their concern in my previous entry. Mom and I did eventually evacuate to her brother's house when Liberty County was added to the mandatory evacuations list (although it took some crying on my part to convince her how scared I really was), but Dad stayed at home because of his horses. (Ironically, the reason why Mom really wanted to stay home -- the traffic -- was no problem at all this time. I guess since Liberty County was added so much later than the rest of the evacuated counties, we managed to miss it.) A side of our porch got messed up, and I now call our front yard the "Graveyard of Fallen Trees," but luckily none of the trees actually hit the trailer, thank goodness, which is more than I can say for my uncle's poor truck. A tree fell and broke his windshield, as well as dented the roof and a door. :(

Mom and I returned back home on the Tuesday afterwards to discover that Dad had actually bought us a generator from a friend of his. We all (even Dad) think he paid way too much for it ($1100), but I have to admit it was nice to be able to make our own ice, turn on a lamp and fan (although we got a cool front and didn't really need it), and even finish my Sailor Moon anime marathon. We actually got our electricity back that Friday, but that's when tragedy struck.

Our computer died.

I'm not really sure what happened. It just suddenly stopped working in the middle of logging on to the computer after the electricity returned. It might have been because in our rush to leave, I stupidly forgot to unplug it, or it might have just been the age of the computer -- it would have been seven years this December -- but thank goodness I was smart enough to back-up all my really important files while I was packing up. I still lost some stuff, like saved emails, links, etc, but it wasn't as big a loss as it could have been. (Still didn't keep me from sobbing for over an hour when I realized what happened, though.)

Mom had to work that weekend, so I had to wait until the following weekend until we were able to buy a replacement. Ended up spending the week really finishing up the SM marathon by watching PGSM and reading the manga, trying to keep busy until I had a computer again. (BTW, somebody really needs to rerelease the manga. My poor volume four is pretty much being held together by tape and staples now, and some of the others are getting to that point.)

The next weekend, Mom and I bought our new computer, along with a new living room suite (we've been needing one), a desk that would hold the new computer's honkin' big 24 in. monitor, a chair to go with it, and a new printer that was Vista compatible. Unfortunately, when the computer was set up, we discovered that it didn't come with AOL software. :( That meant my return to cyberspace was once again delayed while we waited for AOL to send us the software.

As you can imagine, I was getting really antsy at that point. *laughs* Starting a Card Captor Sakura marathon helped a little, but I practically stalked our mailbox, hoping the disc would come in soon. It finally came in today, and after fixing a little installation problem that prevented us from signing on, I am now officially back.

*parties*

Anyway, time to catch up on everything I missed while I was gone. See y'all around!

Post the first line from your 25 most recent fanfics and try to find a pattern. (Note: I’m completely disregarding the Dream Lovers series, which is the series of Chibi-Usa/Helios vignettes I wrote for sm_monthly. If I had, those vignettes themselves would have almost taken up the twenty-five spots. *laughs* I’m also only going with stories posted at FF.net, since that’s the easiest way to see which are the twenty-five most recent, even if I do have some more recent stuff posted else where.)

Expand25 First Lines )

Well, the totally obvious pattern is that I apparently love starting stories with a piece of dialogue. The unapparent pattern, since the meme was only to post the first line and not the first paragraph, is that most of my first lines are also the complete first paragraphs. Seriously, pretty much half of these lines are first paragraphs. *laughs* What else is there? Well, it looks like three of them start with the words, “It was”. I suppose you could call that a small pattern. Oh, and most of them are in third person. Hmm, that’s really all I can see.

Man, I had completely forgotten how much the ending of Pretear always makes me cry like a baby!

I started rewatching it for the first time in a long time a couple of nights ago, after I finished Kaleido Star. At first, I was wondering why I had the show listed so high on my list of all-time favorite anime (#5). I mean, I still really enjoyed it, but I was thinking that it probably shouldn't be listed above such fantastic shows as Fushigi Yugi, Card Captor Sakura, Sailor Moon, and Fullmetal Alchemist, and was considering dropping it down a few spots.

But then I got to the last disc, and boom! I remembered why I held it in such high regard.
heavenly_pearl: (Default)
This isn't the first time I've asked this, but CCS fandom, why do you fail so much? I wanted to nominate [personal profile] sophiap's fabulous Velveteen for the UFO awards, so I went to ff.net to find some other stories to nominate with it. You know how many I liked of the qualified (over-1000 word stories that were completed in 2007) stories?

Two.

And even those weren't really the greatest. I mostly just nominated them so that CCS would have a chance of being a category in the awards (provided somebody seconds the nominations). *sigh* I think I may go looking for LJ communities this weekend and see if there's anything worthier out there.

On the plus side, I did find quite a few Princess Tutu fics I liked. There are some really great writers in the fandom, even if everybody and their mother tends to write .

As for the writing side... I don't know what it is, but I just cannot seem to get back in the groove of things. I've been working on my entry for .moon's winter challenge for about two weeks now, and it's still not finished, which is pathetic because there's a two thousand word limit. It should have been finished by the second or third day, not the second or third week! I only have about 150 words left before I reach the limit, so I'm definitely going to try to finish today, but that doesn't change the fact that I just plain don't like it. *sigh*

I've also been trying to work a little on my KS multi-part (which definitely needs a concrete title, because I'm tired of referring to it as the KS multi-part). Good news is that I think I finally have a clear idea of where the story is going to go. Bad news is that I'm having the same problem of not being able to write. I'm thinking it might help if I go ahead and start posting the story. The reason I'm having trouble writing it might be the fact that I don't have anybody to discuss the story with -- I only know one other person who has seen Kaleido Star, and I don't have editor for the story -- so if I start posting the story and get some positive feedback, I might get some of my confidence back. I don't know, though... If I do start posting it, it'll mean I'll be committing myself to finishing the story, since I hate it when posted stories remain unfinished (and I don't believe in taking stories down except in a few rare circunstances). I definitely want to finish the story. I do think it has the potential to be one of the best in the fandom, but... I just don't know if I can keep myself interested when I feel so isolated from other fans.

Trying to break into new fandoms sucks. :(
heavenly_pearl: (Default)
The winner of the .dotmoon Summer Challenge was announced today. I didn't win, but I did get one vote, so I'm satisfied with that. It actually might have been a better idea to go with my CCS entry, though, in retrospect. The one I entered was a Harry Potter story -- yeah, I know I said I probably never would write an HP fic, but I liked the idea for this one *laughs* -- but it was one of three HP stories in the contest. A CCS story might have stood out more.

Oh, well. There's always the next challenge!
heavenly_pearl: (Default)
As some of you may or may not have noticed, for the past few days, I have been going through all my past entries in here and tagging them so this journal is a bit more organized. Well, as I was working, I came across this old meme about fanfiction that I thought would be interesting to post again, especially since I only got one reply last time.

[x]Tell me which fic of mine is your favorite and a lengthy explanation as to why.
[x]Tell me which new chapter you are most looking forward to and a lengthy explanation as to why.
[x]Tell me what you think my strengths as a writer are.

Wow, with all those challenge entries, it really makes it look like I've written a lot.

In other news, Ultramaniac is an adorable series. ^_^ It kind of got off to a slow start, but now things are really picking up. I think it has the potential to become one of my new favorites. (For those who don't know what it is about, it is about this teenage witch from the Magic Kingdom named Nina who is sent to the Human World to train her powers and find the five Holy Stones so that she can become princess of the kingdom.)

Also, Against the Rules just reached over one hundred reviews over at ff.net. Yay!
heavenly_pearl: (Default)
Well, I bit the bullet and finally decided which entry to send off for the Summer Challenge at .moon. I'm still not sure if I made the right decision, but I was just tired of driving myself crazy over it. *laughs* So, which one did I choose?

Well, I can't tell you yet. :P

But I can reveal the entry I didn't choose: Midnight Magic, a cute CCS Sakura/Shaoran fic. ^_^ Yeah, I know, it's not like the world need yet another S/S fic, but mine is based on canon and *gasp* actually includes the cards, which is more than I can say for a majority of the other S/S fics out there.
heavenly_pearl: (Default)
Yay! I just checked on my orders at Right Stuf and saw that they finally sent off all the CCS manga that was backordered from my last order. They sent it off Monday, so they should probably arrive tomorrow. Finally! I'm usually pretty patient, but I have to admit I was getting a bit antsy about it.

Re: my last entry, I have, in fact, decided to write that SuperS/Kaleido Star crossover I was contemplating. ^_^ It's going pretty well, so far, although I keep going back and forth on which villain I want to attack Sora. Right now, I'm using CereCere since she is the trapeze artist of the group, but I keep thinking that it might be more interesting to use Tigerseye, since the Amazoness Quartet's method of looking for Pegasus (just shooting out dream mirrors and looking for a gold one) is fairly boring. If I used one of the trio, then I could actually show Sora's dream as they look inside it. (Plus, I do love the Amazon Trio. ^_^) Still, writing for the Amazoness Quartet could be a nice change of pace, since I already wrote one "missing episode" fic starring Hawkseye ("Hawk's Eye View"). *sigh* I guess I'll see how things go with CereCere first.

Speaking of Kaleido Star fic, I posted my Layla/Yuri fic "Pillow Talk" at all the usual places yesterday. (It'll be up at .moon this weekend in the weekly update.) So far, it has only gotten one review at FF.net, which is bugging me a little because I actually really like the story. :( Ah, well. One of the good things about it being a small section is that fics can stay on the front page for a while, so I might get a couple of more reviews over the next few days. (The fact that it is M-rated might hurt it a little, since it isn't on the default first page.)

Amazingly enough, the latest chapter of ATR has gotten twelve reviews since I posted it on the fourth, bringing it up to 91 all together. When did it suddenly get so popular? O.o I was hoping to get to a hundred reviews by the end of the story, but at this rate, it might happen by the next chapter. It's amusing me how much people really hate Yui (in a good way); I guess I did a good job making her the antagonist. ^_^ Wait until they see what she does in the next chapter. *laughs evilly*

Also been doing a little fic reading, mostly rereading "Sailor Moon 4200", since there's a new update coming soon. I forgot how much I loved that fic! Can't wait for the update to be posted. ^_^

And I've said it before, and I'll say it again, but Witch Hunter Robin -- which I happen to be rewatching -- has some fantastic writers. I am absolutely in love with Rhiannon B.'s A Death in Venice. She portrays my favorite character, Doujima, perfectly. I hope she finishes it by the end of the year so I can nominate it for the next UFO awards.

Man, this entry turned out longer than I thought it would. *laughs* I was going to post some quiz results, but I think I'll save them for the next entry.

Three Ships I Don’t Like

heavenly_pearl: (Default)

Considering my last entry, I just had to do this meme.

Name five crossovers you'd love to read or write one of these days, no matter how cracked-out or improbable.

1. Sailor Moon/Grey's Anatomy - I think it would be really interesting if either Ami or Mamoru ended up interning at Seattle Grace, and the hospital ended up having to deal with the casualties of a youma attack, having no idea what was going on.

2. Card Captor Sakura/Ghost Whisperer - Melinda sees ghosts, Touya sees ghosts... It's a no-brainer. (See previous entry)

3. Sailor Moon/Witch Hunter Robin - I really do want to write this eventually. My idea has Robin, whose craft is fire, being related to Rei, a fact they discover when the STNJ starts investigating the Sailor Senshi, who they think are witches.

4. Someday's Dreamers/Harry Potter - A lot of HP crossovers from what I hear tend to be with series that don't really fit in with it, but Someday's Dreamers really would be a plausible HP crossover partner, IMO. Both series are about magical people learning how to use their powers, so I think they would complement each other well if done correctly.

5. Absolute Boyfriend/Chobits/Hand Maid May - *laughs* Yeah, I just want to see how somebody would handle a crossover with these three series about robots who look like people. I bet it would be a lot of fun. ^_^

5.

Pondering

May. 26th, 2007 07:20 pm
heavenly_pearl: (Default)
You know, a Card Captor Sakura/Ghost Whisperer crossover would be so plausible, what with Touya being able to see ghosts and all. All you'd have to do is figure out a reason for Touya to visit America or for Melinda to come to Tomoeda, which really wouldn't be too hard considering that Melinda owns an antique shop. She could have somehow ended up with something belonging to Clow Reed and decide to do a little research...

Heh, yeah. I don't know where I come up with these strange anime/live action crossover ideas. First it was a Sailor Moon/Grey's Anatomy crossover, and now this CCS/GW plot bunny is hopping around in my head, although I doubt I'll ever get around to writing it. Still, I think it really could work.

Anyway, as you can probably guess, my CCS manga came in yesterday. Yay! ^_^ Well, at least some of it. About half the volumes are on backorder, but I did get the first four of the first series and two, three, and four of Master of the Clow. I've read the first three so far, and I'm very much enjoying it, although I think I like anime!Sakura more than manga!Sakura. The anime did a good job of making her less of a stereotypical shoujo heroine. For example, manga!Sakura seems to be a habitual oversleeper, while anime!Sakura generally wakes up in time to at least eat her breakfast at the table, rather than scarfing it down on her way out like manga!Sakura always does. She sometimes oversleeps, of course, but nowhere as much as manga!Sakura. Also, manga!Sakura is even more Yukito-crazed than anime!Sakura, to the point that it's kind of annoying rather than cute. Oh, well. The manga is still very good (if I ignore the creepy scene where Terada-sensei gives Rika an engagement ring).

I also think I may have an idea for my Nanowrimo novel this year. It's still a bit vague at the moment, but I'm thinking of calling it A Life Less Ordinary, and it's about a teenage girl named Leah who is bored of her life in a small, New England(?) town until she meets a dying boy who teaches her to the value the life she has. Or something like that. Like I said, it's still in the planning stages at the moment, but I think it'll turn out all right. Anything would be better than last year's Mothers of the Bride.
heavenly_pearl: (Default)

Okay, I know I said a couple of entries ago that I wasn't going to buy any more manga for the time being. I was even doing good for a while -- okay, a week or so. But then Right Stuf just had to have a sale on Tokyopop titles that I just couldn't pass up.

Another hundred dollars spent. *sigh*

But I got a good haul! The entire Card Captor Sakura manga, which I've made no secret of wanting, Someday's Dreamers: Spellbound Vol. 2, and I pre-orderd Someday's Dreamers: Spellbound Vol. 3 and Fruits Basket Vol. 17.

That's pretty good for a hundred dollars, right? If I had bought them retail, it probably would have ended up more like $150, plus taxes, so it really was a great deal.

Yeah, I'm just trying to justify this. *laughs*

In other news, I finally got my reward for completing all of the February challenge at sm_monthly.

Pretty, huh? ^_^

(I actually meant to request that both Chibi-Usa and Helios be together on the banner, but silly me messed up the request form and disn't realize it until they were already made. Oh, well. The banner's still gorgeous anyway. *drools over Helios*)

heavenly_pearl: (Default)
Seriously, this sudden manga bug I've been bitten by needs to stop. In just the past couple of weeks, I think I've spent about $150 just on manga, which is so not like me. I'm a notorious tightwad, but...manga!

*glomps stack of new manga*

But, yeah, I bought some more manga today: Vol. 4 and 5 of Tsubasa and the first two volumes of NANA. -_-; I probably would have bought more of NANA, actually, but Waldenbooks didn't have the third volume in stock, so I decided to stick with just the first two for now. (Probably for the best.) At least I managed to stop myself from picking up the first three volumes of Card Captor Sakura they had, although they were very tempting. I already have enough series to finish collecting: NANA, Tsubasa, Fruits Basket, Absolute Boyfriend, and Someday's Dreamers: Spellbound.

Gah!

*hides $50 B&N gift card so I'm not tempted to order more*

In other news, Mom totally ruined her Mother's Day present. I bought said gift card so that I could order the Indiana Jones boxset she's been wanting online as a surprise, but the moment she saw it, she knew exactly what I was going to buy with it. *sigh* Since she already knew what I wanted to buy, I ended up just buying the set from Best Buy, which is why I still have the gift card.

Man, it's tempting me...

No! No more manga for at least a month, Yume!

Eh, it'll probably be gone by the end of next weekend.

I'm too weak.
heavenly_pearl: (Default)
Stupid VCR. I had it set to tape American Idol tonight so Mom and I could watch the new Gilmore Girls, but when I went back to watch it, all I got was a fuzzy screen. *sigh* I should have just flipped back and forth like I usually do. Man, I hate missing Idol. :(

In happier news, however, Mom's giving me eighty dollars to spend over at Right Stuf. Yay! Now I just have to figure out what I want to buy.

Possible Choices

Magic Knight Rayearth - World of DVD Boxset - $53.96
Diamond Daydreams (Vol. 1-3) - $32.97
Card Captor Sakura manga (Vol. 1-12) - $89.88 (Yeah, it's a little more than eighty, but I wouldn't mind paying for the extra myself.)
GALS! manga (Vol. 1-10) - $95.90 (Again, a little bit more expensive, but, eh.)
Paradise Kiss manga (Vol. 1-5) - $37.45
Aishiteruze Baby manga (Vol. 1-7) - $47.18 (Does anybody know if that series is complete?)

I'm almost certain that I'll go ahead and get Diamond Daydreams, since it's at such a great price. Each disc is only about eleven dollars, making it even cheaper than the boxset that was recently released. For the rest, it's pretty much a three-way tie between the Magic Knight Rayearch boxset, Paradise Kiss manga, and Aishiteruze Baby manga, although I must say that I'm really tempted to just go for CCS. I've been wanting that series in manga for a while, and Right Stuf finally has the complete series available, but...

Gah! I can't decide. Maybe I'll just wait and see what the next big sale will be before making any final decisions.
heavenly_pearl: (Default)

*sigh* Why can't I seem to find any good Card Captor Sakura fanfiction? All I come across is stupid OSAUs and Sakura/Shaoran WAFF. And since when did the Touya/Nakuru pairing become so popular? Has everybody forgotten about Kaho? Probably. I can't even find any Kaho/Eriol stories, although I can understand why there is a lack of that. That relationship is kind of creepy. But no wonderfully angsty Kaho/Touya stories? (Well, I did find one that was kind of decent.) It's ridiculous that there are more Touya/Mirror Card stories than there are Touya/Kaho. Ridiculous.

Yume is sad.

It's especially disappointing considering how much luck I've had finding good Fruits Basket and Witch Hunter Robin fic lately. (I apologize, Dejana, for nominating so many Fruits Basket stories for the UFOs. I kind of got overzealous. *laughs*) Actually, there are some really talented writers in the WHR fandom. I was quite impressed.

But CCS? Blah.

I give up.
